The Department of Economics was started during the Academic year 2013-2014 with Under Graduate course both in Tamil and English Medium. The Post Graduate course was introduced in the Academic Year 2015-2016. The Department admits 64 students in each medium at UG level and 25 students at PG level in every year. The Department has 11 faculty members and 8 faculty members are having Ph.D. degree. Four faculty members are guiding the research scholars. Every year, we produce university rank holders.
